Add a signature image to a PDF
Draw with your finger, mouse or pen, type your name and pick a style, or pick a signature image from your device, then tap the page where it should go, drag it to move it and a corner to size it (or type its place and width in millimetres), add the date or your printed name as text, add more on other pages or on every page, and download one signed copy. Nothing is sent anywhere. This is a picture of a signature, not a certificate-based digital signature.

Questions
Is this a legally binding electronic signature?
The tool places an image on the page, and any date or text you add as plain text. It does not add a cryptographic signature, certificate, timestamp or audit trail, and a reader will not show a green 'signed' banner. Whether an image signature is acceptable depends on the document and the parties. For certificate-based signing or collecting signatures from several people, use dedicated signing software.
Can I type my name instead of drawing it?
Yes: choose Type your name, type it (up to 60 characters) and pick a style: Dancing Script (flowing), Great Vibes (formal script) or Plain (Liberation Sans). It is drawn on this device into a transparent PNG, shown under the field, and that picture is what is placed and saved, exactly as a drawn signature is: on any page, on every page, or several in one save. Each character is drawn in the style chosen when its font has it, else in Liberation Sans, else in this site's Noto Sans CJK, so Chinese, Japanese and Korean are drawn in Noto Sans CJK in every style. Greek and Cyrillic are drawn too. A name with a character none of these fonts has, such as Thai or an emoji, is refused as you type it, the characters named, rather than drawn as a box or left out. Each font is loaded from this site the first time a name needs it (Dancing Script 37 KB, Great Vibes 109 KB, Liberation Sans 140 KB, Noto Sans CJK 2.3 MB for common Chinese and about 22 MB beyond it); if that fails, for instance without a connection, the tool says so and you can try again once you are back online. Your name and its picture stay on this device.
Can I sign several pages, or initial every page, in one go?
Yes. Add another signature keeps the one you placed and frees the frame for the next, on the same page or any other; the list under the page shows each one with a Remove button. On every page puts a signature in the same place on each page, its height following the picture on pages of another size. A signature that would be taller than a page at the width you chose is made as wide as lets all of it fit on that page, never cut off; the page says so under the width. You can draw a new signature (initials, say) before placing the next one. Save signed PDF writes them all into one copy.
Can I add the date, or my name in print?
Yes: choose A date, written as text, and pick the date (today's to begin with) and how it is written: 2026-10-21, 21 Oct 2026, or with the Chinese characters for year, month and day; or choose Your own text and type up to 100 characters, such as your printed name. It is placed, dragged and sized like a signature, kept with its keep button (Keep this date, add another; Keep this text, add another), and written into the PDF as text that can be selected, searched and copied, rather than as a picture. A line of Latin letters is written in Helvetica; a line with Chinese, Japanese or Korean in it is written in this site's Noto Sans CJK, its Latin letters too, loaded from this site the first time a text needs it (2.3 MB for common Chinese, about 22 MB beyond it). A character none of these fonts has, such as Thai or an emoji, is refused as you type it, the characters named. The preview draws what is written in Helvetica in Liberation Sans, which has the same widths (140 KB, the first time).
Can I set its exact place and size?
Yes. Drag it to move it, or drag one of its corners to make it larger or smaller: the opposite corner stays where it is and its proportions are kept. Under the preview, From the left, From the top and Width show its place and width on the page shown, in millimetres, as it moves; type in them to put it exactly there. Each must keep all of it on the page: a number out of range is said under the fields, and saving waits until it is put right. A corner or a typed width keeps it at least 5 mm wide. The saved copy has it at the numbers shown, to a tenth of a millimetre. On a page turned in the file the numbers are of the page as it is shown.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The page loads a PDF engine into your browser and every operation runs on your device. You can check this yourself in the browser's network panel: after the page has loaded there are no upload requests. Closing the tab discards the file.
Do I need an account or to pay?
No. These basic tools are free, have no page or file limits set by us, and never add a watermark. The practical limit is your device's memory.
What about password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted PDFs cannot be processed here. Remove the password first, then use this tool.
What does this page keep in my browser?
Nothing you open or type. While the tab is open, the tool pages keep a short list of the steps taken in it, in the tab's session storage: the step (page opened, started, succeeded, first success, used again or failed), the tool's name, the time, how many files were used and, for a failure, an error code; never a file name, the contents of a file or your text. It holds at most the latest 200 steps, and the browser deletes it when the tab closes. The page never sends it. Where a Report a problem button is shown, you can attach the last 20 steps to your report; nothing is attached unless you tick that box. In local storage the page keeps only choices you made: a Light or Dark theme until you choose System again, the language you picked with the EN / 中文 switch if it differs from your browser's language, and this tool in your recently used list if you switched that list on at the tools page.
